The Holiday Franchise company and its parent company Holidaysplease has partnered up with Everymind, to help promote mental health awareness for its franchisees, homeworkers and head office staff. Last week, the partnership was launched as part of the Mental Health Awareness week campaign and had received fantastic feedback from their teams.
Everymind was founded by Paul McGregor, whose dad lost his life to mental health. They have created a mental health platform that combines access to support with the ultimate goal of removing the stigma through sharing personal experiences in the workplace.
The partnership enables them to give access to essential mental health education and support through the use of the Everymind mobile application and bespoke webinars.
In addition to this, The Holiday Franchise company has appointed five head office staff members as Mental Health Champions, which have received specific training from Everymind. The Mental Health Champions are Joanne Aldridge (Head of Franchise), Luke Western (Head of Sales & Marketing), Jenna McCullagh (Business Development Executive), Chris Storey (Training & Development Executive) and Jordan Luxton (Marketing Manager).
Joanne Aldridge, Head of Franchise, has said “We are passionate about supporting our franchisees in the creation, set up and running of their online travel agencies, but we recognised that we have been, and continue to navigate through, one of the biggest challenges the industry and us as individuals have experienced, so we needed to do more to support them personally.”
Richard Dixon, Director at Holidaysplease, has said “Looking after our mental health is so important, I’m proud that the team have introduced initiatives to support everyone who partners with us”
